McGowan is becoming one of my favourite waterfalls.
There was a large ice storm throughout much of Southern Ontario last weekend. These photos were taken yesterday (Christmas Eve), several days after the storm passed.
I returned to Snyders Flats this week. It looks a little different after the recent snowfall. I ran into more people that have seen the eagles reported to be in the area, but so far no personal sightings.
Snyders Flats is a great place to see Osprey and other migrating birds in the Spring. This time of year, it’s a great place to watch bits of ice flow by on the Grand.
I haven’t been able to get a really good photo of Eugenia Falls yet. There is a big stone wall and some serious looking warning signs blocking good access to the top. I really want to try getting down to the base next year.
