I hiked to the base of Devil’s Punchbowl. It’s a short hike, less than 30 minutes from the parking lot, but the last part of the trail is quite rough. The main falls is very impressive, but the lower falls and the water spilling over the rocks are perhaps more photogenic.
I stopped by Grindstone Creek in Waterdown on my way back from Burlington today to break in a new pair of boots. They worked great.
The York River flows through a narrow chute in Egan Chute Provincial Park. The water moves very fast and is very loud.
We stopped by the park in Bancroft for another visit. Conditions weren’t great for photos of the river so I found an Aster on the riverbank instead.
An unplanned side trip brought us to this waterfall. We found an immense amount of water moving between two lakes and a blue heron looking for dinner.
